「唯有被埋葬之物,才有机会走向新生。」
Born a daughter of the mountain god, Iwaganihime carries the full weight of the earth itself, while her twin sister Sakuya was born weightless as the wind — two extremes of the same divine bloodline, admired rather than resented by either. She first awoke her power as a child, turning her sister's dying flower into eternal amber, and learned that the earth does not only end things, but keeps them, granting permanence to whatever once carried love. When her mother, the mountain given form, sacrificed herself holding back a rising tide of oblivion, Iwaganihime alone foresaw her kingdom's slow, inevitable ruin — and chose silence over despair, training herself into an unmoving barrier rather than burden her people with a fate they couldn't outrun. She has resolved to bear the coming catastrophe's full weight alone, believing that only what is buried ever has the chance to be reborn.

The brightest twins of Iwanaga were born bearing two contrasting fates, yet both destined to converge upon the same end. Rivers of Gold (巡于黄金之河), the theme song for Onmyoji's 10th Anniversary, tells of “Eternity” and “Ephemerality” returning to the great Iwanaga sacred tree—and the promise that, when that day finally comes, they will embrace once more.

Recommended order of skill investment
Iwanaga is already highly functional at 1-1-1 due to the extremely high base multiplier on Eternal Echo. If she is used primarily as the main DPS, Skill 2 is less important because its stat synchronization is rarely needed when she is the primary damage dealer. Skill 3 upgrades are still valuable for increasing her damage, but are not mandatory if her current stats are sufficient for the intended content.
Skill 2 becomes significantly more valuable when Iwanaga is used as a support or secondary DPS, as Lv.5 allows her to sync Crit Rate, Crit DMG, ATK, and Skill Multiplier, greatly improving the value of restoring an ally to their recorded starting state.
1-5-5 is recommended. Skill 2 provides significantly more utility through full stat and Skill Multiplier synchronization, while Skill 3's increased damage improves her offensive pressure. Skill 1 remains low priority.
💡 Daruma Tip: Because Black Daruma upgrades a random skill, sub-5-5-5 targets have a lucky vs. pity variance range. Stop feeding Black Daruma immediately once key skills reach target breakpoints — non-essential skills do not need to be maxed to Lv.5.
